All the debates about MF got me thinking here...why dont we have a group of 6-8 ppl hit meph in seperate games with various levels of MF gear for a set number of runs (say 150) and compare results on your finds.. If you want to participate let me know here. I am thinking of using these levels or something close to them.

0-100 MF
100-150 MF
151-200 MF
201-250 MF
251-300 MF
301-350 MF
351-400 MF
400 plus MF

We will need to track all Blues, Yellows, Greens and Golds that you find and that means ALL drops from only Meph not just the good stuff or that gaze you found in the chest next to him.

Let me know if you want in and what MF level you can use.

A few thread have been done about this already. Mf does affect. I tested it with 0 and over 400mf on 200~ run each and i could clearly see a diff. Like i said there been a few thread already about this so this one is ~closed~.

Well, either way, I think this could be interesting. Not so much to see if MF affects drops, because I'm sure it does, but I'd like to see what types of drops occur for different MF levels.

I'm going to re-open this for the time being. I have 212% MF on my sorc, so I guess we have to 200 MF and the 400+ MF groups covered. We just need more volunteers.

150 runs sounds perfect. And simply make a list on Excel of what color dropped. Then make a list of elite, excep, normal drops for each of those colors, and for Uniques, the actual item that dropped. I like this idea, plus it will get me to play more.

I can take mine down to 150, but it is normally 180 or so, all I'd have to do is take off my nagels.

Is this for hell meph? or nm? i can do 400+ on nm, but on hell i have to change it to about 150-300 (depending on the risk i wanna take of dieing) ill take any group within those. wmd-spector

i dont think doofus was trying to figure out if mf effects drops... i think he is trying to find out what is the BEST raqnge of MF to find the most drops.

-Spector-, do this for Hell, and take it to as high as you can. 300 would be perfect, because we need someone in that range. I'll finish my part up later, but I got in 51 runs so far.

I can do the 100%. Although i have about 250.

and... does anyone know if mf works on pindle... im not too sure it does, i get the same sort of drops with/without mf gear on

MF works on all bosses, pindle just sucks.

I`ve got in about 50 runs so far and have found more uniques then set items o_O I am running at 400 plus mf. Stand by for final numbers tomorrow.

Alright, I'm going to post my results for my first 100 runs, and will continue to do so, most likely, for every 100 after this one.

Out of all the rares that dropped, none of them had good enough stats to warrant an upgrade. Therefore, none were kept.

Put a point in Frozen Armor it will help alot.

weird i was juz playing around cuz my friend was mfing n i was xfering in his hell game , i took my zealot which had 0 mf ... n went to my frenz tp n i killed meph wif zeal,he dropped shako,raven(19dex) and travs(44%) ......... thats way better than when i mf wif my sorc wif 300+ mf

I'll jump in on this too. I can roll 169% MF. I'll post results when I get them.

Unfortunately, I am home for this week, working with my dad, so I will not be at my apartment computer, which is the only one I have with Diablo... So I will not be playing or posting any other results for at least a week. :(
