2 hours of sleep in the last 36
It's been a day and a half and I've recieved a grand total of two hours of sleep.
For those of you who don't know, I'm the night auditor for a local hotel. I'm at work from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am five nights a week. A few days ago, a friend and I realized that it was only a handful of days until Christmas and we had yet to do any shopping for our friends and families. So, considering I have my days free, we decided to head to Idaho Falls to get our gift-purchasing out of the way. We really don't have any choice but to drive the two hours to Idaho because there isn't anything else to pick from in closer proximity.
I worked last night, got off at 7am, and went straight home. Showered and tried to get to sleep. No such luck. So, I was up until 9am, which is when Jeff showed up and we took off. We were in Idaho until 3pm, and had to get back to Jackson before 5, because we had band practice. The entire way to and from Idaho, I tried to sleep and to no avail. We got back at 5pm, but practice was delayed until 6 because our guitarist was at the dentist. We started practice at 6, finished at 7, and I went straight home. I showered an proceeded to sleep for exactly two hours before my asshole alarm clock decided that I'd had enough rest for one night.
I got up at 10pm, went straight to work and have been here since then. I've got 45 minutes before I go home and I'm ready to kill someone.
