Anti-Macroing
it seems to me that there have been some changes as far as skill gain....if u read the forums then u know what i am talking about.....for some unforseen reason it has been switched to anti-macroing....which basically is really GAY.....i have seen this on other shard....might i add unsuccessful shards at that i really hate this macroing set up and i belive that if this is not a bug and is how the skill gain is going to be here i don't think this shard is goin to take off like some and i hoped it would and i can certinally see this not going towards more pvp but just like regular UO.....the skill gain here was the reason pvp was so prevelant here cause u could make char extreamly fast......but without the help of a skill stone like most test shards have....i really hope this is changed back to the way it was or i can see alot of ppl leaveing really fast......

I would continue to play if the playerbase continued to increase because all my desired characters are practically done... But I don't see the playerbase increasing with this new skillgain rules. People want fast an efficient, and if this is no longer possible then I can kiss this shard goodbye.

Bad move Majere. Seems every shard I play on has some serious downfall that causes people to no longer want to play... I thought this shard was the exception. What is does this remind me of.....? Oh yea! UO Gamers. I quit after skillgain was made extremely easy - to the point where it was only delaying the inevitable - 7x GM in a couple hours. This shard did exactly the opposite but literally did the same thing.
A better solution would have been to make skill gain slightly harder. If I would have truely known what I was signing up for I wouldn't have invested any of my time here. Then again, its free, so what am I complaining about? If you want a successful shard give the people what they want... unless its absolutely outrageous. I propose you takes votes on this subject, and see what everyone really wants. |

Skill gain is still mega fast til you hit 70 and then its normal skill gain from there. Only really diffrance now is you can't stand in one spot or use the same traget over and over to gain.

i am going to have to diagree with u there i have been trying to gain arms lore and ss and we all knwo how easy those r to gain but i gain up to ten in a flash then i don't gain for a long time after that or even if at all......the anti-macro seemts to be right but the skill gain has no bases behind it....i have been trying to do arms lore the past hour almost and i have gain form 0-10 skill points to arms lore and only one stat point.....thought u migth want to know....

And another thing about the skill gain: I was hit with over 20 flame strikes, 10 energy bolts, and 10 explosions at 84 resist, and I only gained 0.1... And this was while moving around the whole time.

Well, that is freaking great. Every freaking time when someone complained about making the shard harder, Majere/Raist went ahead and do it. Skills, Loot, Spawn, and now macro. Why didn't you just make it like on Siege from the start. Why wait? |
