No, it's just a sprite movie based on the world of SMB. I actually really like the idea of a serious sprite movie, considering that many of the "humorous" ones aren't very funny at all. You should really watch the other two episodes, the second one is amazing.

Sorry for doing that Raziel. I just viewed 2 and 3, and I have to say, very well done. Good solid serious plotline.
