Ok well one of the inmates were i work asked me to post him a pen pel ad, i've gotten to know him well and i fell ok in posting this for him so if anyone would want to be a pen pal with him, reply to this post or pm me and i'll give ya the snail mail address.

you have to be 18 years old and please no bullshit. he is just looking for someone to talk to. ALL mail sent is opened and read by officers so dont send something that can get you in trouble.

I don't know how many people would feel comfortable with random inmates sending them mail :-\

I don't feel like having a penpal. I have had one for school before and I stopped talking to them.

its just this one inmate, hes a pod orderly (hes allowed in a control pod with the officers), in anycase he asked me to post for him a pen pal, i said i would and i didnt garuntie him any letters or anything. he pretty much lives in the control pod and only goes to his bunk to sleep, he doesnt like to mix with the rest of the inmates.

Any reason on the 18 year old minimum age? Just out of curiosity.

He said it's their state law.

"no minors are allowed to communicate with imates unless they are family of the inmate" , i think its more of a national law than a state law . not sure tho.

sorry,but if the inmate wanted to talk to people he could have not been a criminal and then he wouldn't be in prison.
