Is there a big difference between Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz 800 and Intel Pentium 4 3.4 Xtreme Edition besides the price? I am on the market for a new computer and I'm not really sure which one to go with.

The extreme edition crushes all other P4's, but the Athlon 65 FX-53 is neck and neck with the P4EE (extreme edition), and is about 20-25% cheaper.

Well, The 3.2 Probably runs quite fast, and so does the 3.4 Extreme, Depending on your Frontside bus and RAM, I doubt it'll make that much of a noticable difference,

Go with a nice AMD 64-bit. If you're gonna be spending that kind of money on a processor, it better be 64-bit.

You could also go cheaper with the Athlon 64 3400+ . its not as good but its still a solid 64 bit processor from what i hear.

Any 64bit processor is better than a lower grade 32bit processor. (well, for the most part)
