Battlechar generating

I solved my last problem about battle spirits,now i need real proffecional help.

I download many battle char generators and made the battle spirits,the problem is that they are all the same,and none got what i need,i want to know how to creat a character with complete footwork(kicking abilities),because i want to creat a martial arts game,with characters of kof and fatal fury.

please answer soon (unlike last time:))

Yeah, didn't see that one there (I don't usually browse the forum directly, I use the "View New Posts" option. I must've skipped over yours for some odd reason.)

Anyway, battle charsets have the following properties:

* 256 colors (as usual)
* 144x384 pixels
* Each animation frame is 48x48 pixels, 3 frames per row

------

Since you're building one yourself, it might be helpful to have a template to work from.

Just keep in mind that you'll need to have an animation for each one of the "default" poses, as well as any extra poses you want (probably for status effects).

I don't know, I don't use generators myself, I just MSPaint - or download something THEN edit in MSPaint. If you can even get CLOSE to what you want with a generator, just edit the result to fit your character.

I think I went looking for a generator to help someone, and only found one that was any good. I have no idea where the link is right now.

Ok,thanks anyway, i am going to search for this mspainter,i found once an painter,but it was in spanish.

P.S: it's visible why they call you the hero,you deserve it.

You shouldn't need to download MSPaint, if you're using a Windows-based machine. If you can't find it in your Start menu (probably Start->Programs->Accessories->Paint) you can get to it by going to Start->Run and typing in MSPAINT in the box that comes up. If THAT doesn't work, I can only assume you removed it manually when you installed Windows - You can go to the Control Panel and add windows components from there (you need the CD though)

Of course, all that means nothing if you're on a non-Windows machine..

Personally I don't like MSPaint for pixel art, I use Paint Shop Pro - even if you're working on the pixel level it's a lot easier to recolor and when I reduce to 256 it always looks a -lot- nicer than if I do it in paint, much less nasty dithering. It's not free though, so might I suggest I-draw? It's another program specifically created for making pixel art for Rm2k.

I suppose you're right, if you actually "reduce" to 256 instead of starting out only allowing 256 in the first place.. MSPaint hasn't failed me yet!

I have used IDraw before though, it isn't too bad - my impression of it is that it's basically MSPaint with random extras.
