Well, I was never a giant FF7 nerd in the first place, so this doesn't really bother me all that much. I'd be much more irritated if Square released an FF9 prequel exclusively on cell phones.

Either way, I still think it's pretty lame that they're making an FF7 prequel exclusive to cell phones. That just screams "crappy idea" to me.

In regards to the topic at hand, I honestly can't come up with a single logical reason why Square would do this. Is there anything to be gained from taking this course of action? The only thing I can think of is that maybe they got paid an assload by a few cellphone companies for exclusivity right to this game. But does that really negate the production costs and bad press that Square is undoubtedly going to have to manage as a result of this decision? Maybe there's some huge killer application for this game that has yet to be revealed. Personally, though, I doubt the possibility of that notion very much.

I think it was supposed to be like this format:

A) Its S-E (Square-Enix??)
B) Its got FFVII in the Title.

I can't imagine playing FFVII on a cellphone even if I had one.

It would be so difficult...with the small screen and all. Although it would be easier to get away with in classes at school. A GBA is small, but a cell is smaller.
