The Difference for You

The Democrats(liberals) and the Republicans(conservatives) differ on many issues and ways of thinking. What is the main difference for you that makes you feel that the one party is better for you than the other?

Mine is the freedom of choice. Choice, is undeniably restricted by conservatives. Liberals want abortion, gay marriage and other liberties to be made law, unrestricted. However, conservatives don't want this. Bush and his thugs are against this. Why?

Religious reasons. In the "land of the free," freedom is not allowed. How can conservatives push for an amendment in the most sacred document in our government's history, the Constitution, to ban gay marriage? How...? How can the right ban freedom? Liberals want to give the oppotunity for people to have abortions. As well as get married, despite gender. I mean, if the liberals get their way, not everyone will have to get an abortion or marry gay people. They will simply have the oppotunity to. Here in the Land of Oppotunity. Under conservative law, no one will have that opportunity.

Religious beliefs... Sorry Ayatollah Bush, but religious laws belong in the times of the Crusades and places like Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The same for me, mostly. I hate how if someone is pro-choice the anti-abortion people say they are "pro-abortion". There's a difference

I just can't fathom how after all of Bush's confirmed blunders, he still has half the country supporting him.

Kuja, you sound more like an anarchist than a liberal.

Quite honestly, I refuse to affiliate myself with any party, although I probably tend to lean more towards the democratic side. When I make my decision, I like to base it on the candidate rather than the party that they are associated with. There is no one factor that will sway my choice, it's just an evaluation of as much as I can gather, and based on that, who I think is better.

Bush and his thugs, lol. No one here has ever posted anything here which tries to explain politics. As for your Ayatollah Bush, we have things like the seperation of church and state. Therefore we can NEVER have an ayatollah.

Yeah, I'm pretty much like that too MJ, although I obviously agree with republicans more than democrats. I just say I'm a republican because I don't feel like explaining why I don't like to choose a party when someone asks me which one I support.
