Blackburn vs Burnley

Does anyone have an opinion on the Blackburn Burnley match tomorrow?

Lenny 2005-02-28 12:22 PM

I do of course...:p...unfortunately, I don't think there are very many other English people on here...

You could try and explain the rules of football (english style) to them all, and rant about the rivalry...might work...:p

What are you talking about? I have no idea who they are.

Sovereign 2005-02-28 01:52 PM

They are talking about european soccer.

Soccer fans there are fucking insain. You hear about a few people getting punched out at some sports games here and there in the US. In Europe, you hear about how many dozens of people were trampled to death in a soccer game.

-.-

:D Ah, the happy times...and it's a called Football...

Sovereign 2005-03-01 11:40 AM

Silly wanker. Go drown in a privy.

Here its called soccer....

I wonder what our version of football would have been named if soccer was known as football here too.

Hmm.

Lenny 2005-03-02 02:06 PM

American Rugby probably...'cos that's what it seems to be...

----------

Btw, we lost 2-1.

Great goals though, and at least it didn't go into extra time and penalties...

But it did take Blackbrun 180 minutes to beat us...silly bastards...

Kaneda 2005-03-02 02:28 PM

So you guys don't have american football over there? Just rugby.

Lenny 2005-03-03 11:38 AM

American football seems to me to be a version of Rugby, but with padding and protection for the players...no American Football over here...just Rugby and Football and other sports...
