Hey is that an English version? I guess I will find out if I d/l it, huh? Anyways, I will only keep it if the Help file is in English.

EDIT: DAG NABBIT!!!! The damn stupid help is still Japanese!!! It does no good to translate the darn thing if you don't translate the Help file. Not for me anyways. Now it'll take about 6 months before someone decides to translate the help file, and another 5-6 months before it is completed. **sigh**

Help file in Japanese eh??? Guess what I have that may help...

BlueCube 2005-03-01 06:38 PM

Added to the download sites thread...

Draco2003 2005-03-01 06:51 PM

WOO HOO!!! Thanks man. Dunno what I'd do with out you.

Lenny 2005-03-02 12:09 PM

He he he..."Lenny approved"...I think that this is the site that I got it from...it may help to add the Help file to the links page as, as Draco has already found out, the help file included in the download is in Japanese...

BlueCube 2005-03-02 12:26 PM

Added the helpfile link to the sticky thread as well.

Lenny 2005-03-02 12:59 PM

Goody good good.

Lenny 2005-03-07 02:52 PM

I don't know about you, but I thought that other people might have posted links to RMXP etc...instead, the forums gone...dare I say the word...quiet...

BlueCube 2005-03-07 03:00 PM

Yeah, but it's BEEN quiet for a long, long time. It's just normal for this area, heh.

Lenny 2005-03-08 10:25 AM

Something else that is surprising me, is that the game development team thread is starting to become quiet...I seem to be doing most of the posting in that thread as well...:p

Lenny 2005-03-12 06:31 AM

A couple of changes...

Two direct links to RMXP, the first can be found on the LRPGM site under downloads, and the second is the one I posted, but directly to the download...

http://www.lrpgm.com/files/RMXP/rpgm...mu_edition.exe
http://www.xrpg.net/downloads/rmxp/r...mu_edition.zip

Both download the same thing - Dyna Emu's version of RMXP...though I don't know if the one from LRPGM has an english help file...

As I was saying, both download the same version, but the LRPGm ones downloads the .exe file alone, whilst my link downloads a zip file containing the file...

Just thought you'd like to know...sorry 'bout the double post...

BlueCube 2005-03-12 06:42 PM

I don't consider two posts that are 4 days apart to be a double post, heh. But I had already noticed/added a comment regarding the LRPGM one at least.. but bumping for direct download link goodness, as it's not really polite to "officially" do a direct link to a file instead of the main page.

I don't know if I am just new at RMXP but everything around my chips is white. And when I test the game the white spots are black. Is it a problem with the version or just that It's supposed to be white

BlueCube 2005-03-13 01:41 PM

This would normally go in its own thread, but at this point, meh.

The white is basically "Layer 0" as I call it, as not to confuse it with the lower tile layer. Anyway, it's there for the parallax background, which is defined in the Tileset. If you're not using a parallax background, fill in the lower layer completely with terrain to cover up Layer 0.

The layers are a bit strange at first since they all share the same tiles, but generally the lower layer is the general terrain, like grass or water. The middle layer is for doodads like flowers, tufts of grass, and rocks, stuff that decorates the terrain. The upper layer is usually kept for trees, though trees can go on the middle layer if you want a tree to be "behind" another.
