dude he himself has to realize that this girl is a) not only a bitch, b) that she is self absorbed and c) still has feelings for him but just wants it sexually. Your friend probably just had sex with her for the first time, and this makes things harder. Sexual emotions are the worst to get rid of so it may take some time. Be there for him but make sure he understands that you dont want anypart or her in your conversations. Make it clear to her that u want nothing to do with her. If he's truely a friend, then he'll understand and back off a bit. Take her name off of aim so u never have to see it. If you guys go out make sure its not to see her. Over time this problem will go away, especially if he realizes how crappy she is, and without you there, it will make him think twice. Good Luck cause i know many women like her and it takes a good 2 months to get rid of them, unless she finds somebody else.

Actually, I was in a similar situation with one of my friends. Granted, it was slightly different because this girl bitched at him because she said his friends were a bad influence and he needed to change and go to church more often and such. Eventually, she dumped him because he wasn't a good enough christian for her I guess.

After that, I tried to convince him that she was a piece of shit who made him unhappy and stole him from his friends a good bit of the time but he wouldn't get over her.

Finally things ended, the way I think I helped the process was to target her. Piss her off enough that hopefully she'll get tired of being associated with you or your friend. You risk possibly pissing off your friend but hopefully in the end he will understand or get over it. That is one hell of a tough situation bro.

Now, there honestly isn't much you can do to get him over this broad, aside from getting him another chick. Lust is a tricky thing, and as long as she is around, putting sexual thoughts in his head and leading him on, he won't be able to get over her. I've been through it enough to know the best remedy is to simply cut off all ties and find a new chick to hang out with. However, I know to do this myself now, and clearly, your boy Kyle doesn't have this experience yet, so he is clinging...

The best thing to do is simply keep throwing insults about her his way, until it starts absorbing. If he keesp hearing negative responses all the time, he should start to realize that he is wasting his time. Don't go overboard though, because he could resent you for it, which would be worse.

I know this probably isn't much help, but he just needs to find another pink hole to get stuck on, and hopefully this time, she will be chill.

By this point, after all you've told him, there really isn't much left that you can do. Hopefully he'll come around and listen to you, but if not, it's no fault of yours. Just be there for him when this finally does end, because it sounds like it's gonna be wicked rough for him.
