The legalization of marijuana.

Drinking age.

Forms of government(socialist, communist, etc.)

KA, and Sov...any way y'all could specify how we could make that into a two sided argument? Those seem like great debate topics, but I don't see how we could do something as broad as drinking age with only two sides. You could want drinking age to be 16, 18, 21, or anything for that matter. I guess we could do something like lowering the drinking age or keeping it the same? Would that be okay?

Same with the forms of government issue. Since their are more than two, any way you could specify how we could make that into a two-sided format?

Maybe get one or two people to act as though they support the other side? Sure their arguements wouldn't be as strong as they would if they actually supported it, but it could be fun O_o

In order to have a debate, there has to be a defined position that one side supports and the other side does not. A propper debate topic would be "Marijauna needs to be legalized" or "People should be allowed to drink once they reach 16 years of age"

That's what I meant, but WW phrased it better.

We need two more, and get KA and Sov to clarify.

One I think some people may agree with: Raising the age one can get one's driver's license. That'd be something some here oppose and some support.

Again, you need to state your debate topics in the form of an assertion.

The drinking age should be lowered to 18 AND the punishments for doing shit while intoxicated increased by a lot.

"Democracy is the superior form of government."

"Our government is on the fast track to becoming the next Nazi Germany."

"Raise the age needed to get one's driver's license from 16 to 18."

I think he wants it worded slightly differently... maybe something like:

"The age at which one can get one's driver's licence should be raised from X to Y." With maybe a "Do you agree or disagree?" tacked on to the end.

A few of these topics are horrible. However, I don't really have a suggestion at the moment. Once I get one, I'll edit this post.
