XP 30 day trial question...
Hello, I used to use a not-entirely-non-illegal copy of XP a while back, and I recently had renewed interest in the program. To my surprise, it said that my 30 day trial was up and I needed to buy and register the software.
Now, I'm pretty sure that I didn't download the official trial version, and I'm also fairly certain that I used it for more than 30 days when I first got it. Did Enterbrain somehow take control over all the illegally distributed copies of RPG Maker XP? I'm completely baffled right now. |
You're just not looking in the right places, probably.
|
no, my problem is that I downloaded what appeared to be the pirated version, which worked perfectly fine for months. Then recently I booted it up again and now it wants an activation code.
|
That's weird.
|
Odd, I was thinking that maybe it auto-downloaded a patch or something, but 1) I'm pretty sure that doesn't exist in RMXP and 2) I think the last patch was in 2005 somewhere.
...Unless you patched it yourself, of course. Obviously, there's always the option of a standard uninstall/reinstall. |
There is also one more option called keygen.
|
That there is, but we're not allowed to link to any form of "warez", or give an idea of where to find them. Discussion, however, is fine.
|
Jesus had private messages for that.
|
He did?
--------- I suppose you'd be best dowloading legal + keygen. No one will bat an eye at a legal version. And keygens for this aren't hard to find at ALL. It took me less than three seconds to find one, even while typing this. |

Or just quit being a cheap bastard and go spew 50 bucks to get a genuine copy.

I'm sorry I don't have a job nor a way to pay for online expensives. So I'm not a "cheap bastard" as you put it. If I had a job and way to pay for it on my own I would.
