Do you like loud music?

I sure do!

Lenny 2007-08-14 02:13 PM

How do you mean? Music that you've turned up to a high volume, or music that is loud instrument and singing wise?

!King_Amazon! 2007-08-14 02:15 PM

I said yes, but it's really situational. I like my music loud, but not so loud that it sounds like a bunch of noise.

HandOfHeaven 2007-08-14 02:17 PM

My bad. Volume-wise, Lenny! Rocking out to RATM is fun!

Lenny 2007-08-14 02:36 PM

In that case, yes.

Thanatos 2007-08-14 02:49 PM

Hellz yes. I wish I lived in a house, I'd crank my system up so much louder than what I can at the moment. Get that bass rumbling, nigga! YEAAAHHH BBBOIIIIIII.

Grav 2007-08-14 03:13 PM

No. I listen to my music at the minimum volume at which I can still hear all the separaton, soundstage and details. People don't seem to understand that music does not need to be blasted to sound good. It's actually the opposite.

Anything over 85dB is damaging your hearing. You probably listen at >100dB.

Rocking out to Rage is fun, but I prefer Mudvayne or Droid.... our even some Soulfly

Willkillforfood 2007-08-14 03:25 PM

I listen to mine at a lower volume. Loud music is annoying as fuck.

I got my Subwoofers rated in my car not too long ago, and outside of the front windshield they rated at 146.4db which is awesome, just to the point where they flex :)

Even without my subwoofers turned on, my stock stereo and the little soundbar I've got in the trunk can get up to about 135.. so yes, I love listening to loud music.

Willkillforfood 2007-08-14 04:04 PM

Gonna have to keep upgrading it as you wear out your hearing to get the same effect =D.

Vollstrecker 2007-08-14 04:08 PM

I enjoy loud music, as long as it isn't obviously degrading too much quality-wise.

kaos 2007-08-14 11:26 PM

Without reading any of the posts above. Fuck yes. Base means everything to me in music.

So much so that you can't even spell it.

hahahaha.

I said it doesnt matter...because i can't rightfully say yes or no. When im in a clubbing mood, i like to turn up the "hott" stations, but on my way to work I like the "mix" station at a normal volume.

HandOfHeaven 2007-08-15 09:05 AM

You listen to the radio?

!King_Amazon! 2007-08-15 09:18 AM

I do occasionally too. Sometimes I forget to charge my Ipod so it's either that or silence. The radio isn't horrible. I just keep a few that I like, so when commercials come on I switch.

Lenny 2007-08-15 11:08 AM

Methinks I'll elaborate on my answer a bit.

If it's radio, then it's not that loud, unless a good song comes on.

With my mp3 player I usually have only one earphone in, and the player at half-volume - just so I can hear it over whatever's happening around me.

On the computer (like now, with The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger) I'll have it as loud as I can get away with. Currently I'm alone in the house, so it's quite loud.

HandOfHeaven 2007-08-15 11:30 AM

Do you have a stereo that would blow a woman's clothes off? I'm telling you man, you'd be a complete pimp.

Lenny 2007-08-15 11:32 AM

Nope. But I suppose my computer speakers might fit the bill. :p

Talking about speakers, what I'd really love to buy are some 7.1 surround sound wireless speakers. Currently I've got 5.1, and the wires to the satellites are strung out across my bedroom floor.
