Jags DROP Lefwitch, Garrard to start
 

Very unique news, I don't feel that ANYBODY really expected it, though the columm analyst on our team's website (vic) had been hinting at it for a while now. I'm not going to copy and paste the articles just figure'd I'd go ahead and spill the beans.

My personal opinion is that this is a good move, not because I have anything against leftwich, out of my group of friends etc, I was the one that was still pulling for leftwich because I had seen that he has some potential, but most people thought that garrard's great preseason play was the cause of this, which it wasn't. It was the fact that Leftwich has NOT played a full season since he was drafted in the first round 5 years ago.


Good bye leftwich, may retirement be your friend, because honestly, I don't see any team taking interest in him, he had his chance, Sorry leftfoot.

Garrard has been doing that well? Well, you guys are fucked then. Garrard is a lesser talented Vick. He can throw, yes, but it's very inconsistent. You never know which Garrard is gonna show up on gameday. Ballsy move, IMO. Good luck with that one.

I was thinking the same thing

Difference between Leftwich and Gerrard was that Gerrard stepped up and took control of the offense this preseason and showed much improvement from last year. Leftwich always seemed to be soft sopken and looked confused alot.

Leftwich has caused more problems than what he's helped with. We've had to crutch our team's overall performance on his gameday abilities week after week. Now that we can have somebody the whole community and organazation has faith in maybe we can step things up a bit this year, be careful guys, the Jags are coming.

I dont think they will be good with this guy. They had a better chance with Leftwich, but thats just my opinion

Obviously you know nothing about the Jaguars of leftwich so I guess we can just leave it at that. The problem with leftwich wasn't his accuracy or even the games he played, it was his technique. Leftwich has the LONGEST windup in effing Nfl history, they used to time his throws as a joke back in '05 because of the controversy being caused of how long it took him to throw it.

So what do we do when we can't protect our QB? Get a QB that can haul ass. You guys say he's just another vick but not on the same level, I'm going to have to disagree, I feel that Garrard is already past the point that Vick was at his prime, he just hasn't had as much attention to him yet, the Jaguars are going to take off this year, just wait and see.
