When I first got glasses, I put them on, and suddenly the big green blob's with brown smears poking out them were leaves with a tree attached.

It's amazing the difference between needing specs and not wearing them, and wearing them for the first time - you don't realise how much your eyesight has deteriorated until you can see properly again.

I have them as well.

As do I and believe me, they helped a lot. I can read the chalk board from the back of the class now! That and things like going to the movies, general walking around, and even driving. I mean, I can actually read the road signs BEFORE I get to them and at night i'm not blinded even more by headlights.

I'm surprised so many of you need glasses. We should have a poll, I'm curious what portion of Zelaron has bad eyesight.

I blame my parent's genes.

That, and staring at a computer screen for 5+ years.

Yeah that certainly doesn't help, but I got glasses when I was around 10.. before I discovered the Internet.

Now, the thing is, I didn't actually get glasses until last Christmas( I probably should have had them 2yrs prior in grade 11 - didnt realize how bad I did need them), so I need time to let my eyes adjust on there own. You know, they apparently will and my prescription is subject to change. So contacts are out of the question for a little while.

Same here. I wasn't a big computer user until I was about 13/14, and I got specs at 12.

I blame the years of reading in the dark every night.
