Local Bands gone Mainstream

Well let's see.

From the Jacksonville area (and nearby surrounding areas) I can think of a few bands off the top of my head.

First off.

38 Special - yes it's country, fuck off no I don't like them. The VanZants that were related to Ronnie in Lynard Skynard are in this band.

Lynard Skynard - Old skool.

YellowCard - Pop-rock band, got famous here in their hometown of Jacksonville and moved directly to California to act more "surfer", faggots. Decenet music but they're all a bunch of bitches.

Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - The local guys here that went to high school with me, amazing they've had so much success I wish them the best of luck and keep creating great music..

Cold - Another band from Jacksonville, though not too much success. They had the single "Stupid Girl" .. and that's about it.

Shinedown - Another great band from Jacksonville. They had some excellent remakes, and original songs that we're played very heavily here on our local rock station, and they eventually launched and then sputtered, i'm waiting for them to drop another CD.

Limp Biskit - Another pretty good band, they were really popular for a long time, reigning from Jacksonville, had some sweet ass music for a long time, then kinda disappeared after their Bassist left the band in pursuit of a solo career, (what a fucking idiot)

That's just to name a few off the top of my head, if anyone can correct me please do so, and in turn drop some Local artists that have made it big from your hometown!

Pantera and Drowning Pool are the only two bands from Dallas I can recall off the top of my head.

Jackson, Wy - NOBODY...maybe Kip Attaway, but that's a stretch.

Salt Lake City, UT - Can't think of anybody in particular.

I'd be here forever if I tried to list the ones from my area.

Think Philly. And Doylestown.
