Fairly Advanced Question - Timers/Seasons/Days
I want to learn how to make a time system. That involves seasons and days. Depending on the amount of days that pass a new season is introduced. Depending on what season it is new opportunities are opened. I've messed around with the timer and everything, but its not working out for me. I can't seem to make it work. Anyone have any ideas? Oohh, and i want to make it that a seed can grow over time. and after its grown you can pick it and plant another. Lol.. If someone can help me with that it would really be appreciated. Thanks.

You're asking for a Harvest Moon type game.
Fraid I can't help you there. The only RPG Maker game that was based upon Harvest Moon that I've seen was for either RPG Maker 2000 or 2003. I don't believe anyone has created a system for that, yet. I doubt anyone will unless you can get to. I suggest RMXP.org, they should be able to do scripts. Just request one there, hopefully, and maybe, somebody can create one. |
Not really, I want a game thats going to revolve around a time system but i was hoping that for potions and stuff you'd have to turn in herbs and stuff that you would grow and grab yourself. But it was going to be a regular (fight the bad-guy) type game. But you say i needed scripts. so what scripts would i need to request? i don't know ruby but i know A++ is that anything like ruby?

I've never heard of A++ to be honest. Unless it is an object based scripting system, then no, it is not anything like ruby.
Well you need to request a script that would require you to have a few versions of the same item. Then have it where the time move and after every 24 hours (Game Time) then the item changes to the next sprite. Now, I believe that is possible, but you should definitely hope there is someone with that much talent. |
