I don't have any issues with you. I'd guess that it would be because of your religious beliefs, which shouldn't be persecuted against you. We have a lot of people on here that go by the facts, what they can see, etc, and if you say you believe in God but don't have any proof, the athiest gang will try and tag-team you. If they ever question you, just ask them what created matter, and they'll shut up.

I don't know you, I'm not against you.

Hello, my name is Bob. I like drugs.

Matter has always been there and will always be there. Try and prove that religious shit on me and I'll pull five other creation theories on you that contradict yous.

But otherwise, I don't feel any hostility toward you. Maybe it was that weird way we act that made you think we did not like you.

I'm not going to pull a religious anything on you, but ask how the fuck can you prove that it has always been here? That is impossible unless a source that isn't bound by our constraints of 'time' created it inside of our timeframe from outside of it.

I don't think anyone here cares that he believes what he believes. The problem is when he comes here, states that what he believes is true, states that we're all wrong, and can't even argue his point in an intelligent manner.

There are a few people here who are religions and believe in creationism. I don't have a problem with any of them. The only problem is when they do what he's doing.

Yeah, kinda like those Jehovah's witnesses that come to your doorstep offering their religion, which basically states that all other religions are wrong and they are the only ones that will be "saved." As funny as scientology, where their belief is that all of us were souls that came from an alien king that killed us :eat:

I'm not against you Jamer. Just remember that others on this forum like a place to go to be assholes nonetheless of people with ideals like yours.

I'm not against you jamer, I'm just against how you act on the forum, constantly throwing up your beliefs at us to try and convince us god is real. If you would just tone down the Religious posts then you would be alright.

You hate the fact that people harbour comfort in believing something happens after they die, while you believe nothing happens, which makes you bitter.

Read Beauty and Hope.

I'll give it a try sometime, I admit to choosing ignorance with fiction rather than dismay with fact. Some people don't want to believe.

I am just.. slowly but surely coming to terms with what is, and what isn't.

But a lot of times religion doesn't make it out to be a comforting thing that something happens after you die. Quite often, it's used more as a restriction. Do good, or you'll go to hell. Or, give us money and come to church every sunday and you'll go to heaven.

The problem with this is, in both cases, that people end up not actually living their lives, and the church justifies this by saying what is basically "if you sacrifice a little now, you'll reap the rewards forever in the afterlife." It's effectively just a way of controlling people.

However, while I don't believe or disbelieve in an afterlife, I realize that it's important to live my life to the fullest while I'm alive, rather than restrict myself from having sex before I'm married or swearing or whatever else that some church thinks I shouldn't do.

It comes down to what I normally say. I think religion in general teaches a lot of good lessons, but the methods by which they do it are not good.

That basically sums up how I feel about it, now.
