Consequences of special relativity
Time dilation Relativity of simultaneity Lorentz contraction Composition of velocities Inertia and momentum Equivalence of mass and energy, E = mc2 Another post Lenny's EDIT, 'cos he wants to try it hisself. Einstein has said that all of the consequences of special relativity can be derived from examination of the Lorentz transformations. These transformations, and hence special relativity, lead to different physical predictions than Newtonian mechanics when relative velocities become comparable to the speed of light. The speed of light is so much larger than anything humans encounter that some of the effects predicted by relativity are initially counter-intuitive:

Would it be possible to anchor something in post #1 to text in post #2?

Sure, that works fine. |
Maybe I'm an idiot, but I dont understand the coding. Is it [anchor] text of where to stop [/anchor]? Could you lay that out?
|
No, you use something like [jumpto="mephisto"]Part 3: How to kill Mephisto[/jumpto] to set up an anchor link, and then designate the target of the aforementioned tag with [aname="mephisto"]Part 3 of Kazilla's tutorial: How to kill Mephisto in Hardcore mode[/aname] somewhere else on the page.

Excellent. Thank you.
