Blizzard, you SUCK!

That's right, three seperate games for each race. Judgeing from the typical PC game nowadays you are going to be required to spend $200.00 on the games alone in order to play the different races. You can either..

a) Not play.
b) Know exactly what class you want to play and only play that class.

Unless this is all a huge misunderstanding, blizzard is really gay for doing this. I was all excited and then a friend of mine told me this.

Thankfully, each version will contain a full multilayer [sic] component that allows you to play as all three races, the split is just for the single-player.

Or, you can just wait until it's official before crying about it. Lol seriously, those links are probably fake or something; honestly I would just wait until Blizzard announces it before getting all worried. And even if so, I'd just purchase the Protoss game.

Edit: Okay, I guess it is somewhat official. Regardless, who cares. It will probably be like $65 for all 3. I guarantee there will be a package you can buy them all in a bundle.

Ok, that kind of saves it. Still though, having to pay over $200.00 to play each classes story stinks.

Who cares. Only the hardcore players are going to want to play each seperate race anyways. About 90% of the people will just pick one and are going to play multiplayer.

Kazilla 2008-10-21 02:28 PM

I enjoyed going through each classes story. I'm also very far from hardcore.

!King_Amazon! 2008-10-21 02:40 PM

I don't really see the point in them doing this, but I doubt it will cost full price for each game.

Why not just release them all together, though? Blizzard baffles me.

D3V 2008-10-21 03:15 PM

That's how I see it as well; however, I'm more interested if it will cost to play online or not.

Grav 2008-10-21 04:06 PM

Wow... this is... odd. I'm just gonna pirate the other two races, lulz.

So prepare to pay $200! Lol. WHen I first read the thread, I thought you were talking about D3!

Xenn 2008-10-21 06:17 PM

They're doing this because they aren't on pace with the single player campaigns and they want to make them really good. I think I read it's 30 missions per race.

Kazilla 2008-10-21 06:24 PM

You didn't read the 2nd post in this thread did you.

Xenn 2008-10-21 06:29 PM

I don't read quotes anymore. Too risky.

Willkillforfood 2008-10-21 06:33 PM

Am I the only one that's going to say the obvious, dark reason? More money. Sure, they don't want to gimp the respective story lines, however, they're probably going to be more profitable off this unless they're selling the respective segments for $10-30. I hope they do sell the segments cheap, then I can buy just one and play the multiplayer game :D. But I doubt they will, seeing as this strategy is very obvious.

Kazilla 2008-10-21 06:39 PM

I highly doubt the games will be cheap. The 'main' focus of everyone who played starcraft was the multiplayer portion. If each game has the multiplayer capabilities (like they say), then I see no reason why they would be cheap.

Willkillforfood 2008-10-21 06:42 PM

God forbid they release content patches.
