Muhammad Ali

My sister goes to school with one of Muhammad Ali's sons, Asaad. They're graduating this year and Muhammad is sending the entire senior class on a charter bus to Chicago to see the Broadway production, "Wicked". Prior to the show all of the students are going to eat at The Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago. All expenses are paid by the Ali family.

Honestly that's a pretty fuckin cool thing to do. The senior class has 200+ kids graduating, so that is going to be a hefty bill!

Oh well just bored and thought that was somewhat neat.

that's pretty sweet, and very generous of the Ali family. I guess when you have bank like that within your family might as well blow it on some good things such as this trip.

Pretty damn sweet. Muhammed Ali has to be one of the most inspirational people of all time. Amazing human being.

And Spector, is that a school in Michigan or Indiana?

The school is in Michigan, Niles High School.

It's probably just the mood I'm in, but it seems strange that Ali should be doing that. It smells like the fetid stench of a publicity stunt. Or maybe a "My dad is Ali, and he's showing how much money he has".

I'd say it's more of "I have more money than I know what to do with, hey little Johnny, want your entire class to go on a trip? I'll pay for it"

thats pretty cool, seeing as most celebrities spend their money on getting their tits and noses done up these days or they fight over who can get the most attention from the public by sponsoring more and more misfortunate african kids ( not saying its a bad thing they do it)
