ok see this is really starting to piss me off. the only good movie based on a videogame that the little black dots in the center of my plasmic eye ball ever came into contact with was tekken...and damn that was a good movie. my question is...WHY CANT U MAKE A COOL MOVIE!?!?! now if the final fantasy movie was based on ff7 or sumthing wouldnt it be alot cooler!?!?! Or resident evil...ok im not even gonna go into that movie cus that just sucked. my point is we need more movies that gamers can relate to. tombraider sucked i mean...bah just ack yucky. well i guess my point is that we need more movies that are actuly based on the video games. and if u havnt seen tekken yet GO SEE IT! its an anime. Btw has any1 heard anything about FinalFantasy10 II?

The Reason they suck is because they sell out the original story of the game and holliwood it up, to make it appeal to the general gaming public (action, gore, and sex). Not that bad, but usually they drop the main point of the game in hopes of selling more tickets. :(

The main reason (prlly) is becuase the companys usually get bad directers to direct the movies....

And in some cases... the plot can be a bit thin. For example... Mortal Kombat was a great movie.... but it was not dirived from a game, the game was dirived from the movie....

If they made a Diablo movie it'd have to be better than the game. I bought it, got to lvl 9 by rushing through the game with a friend, and haven't played since. I donno, it didn't stand out. Now, SC/BW was a game. I played for a solid 3 years, now it's getting tiresome. I play maybe once a month. Moved on to better things, I guess. Like: the outside world!

Warcraft II was one of the first PC Games I actually had. Before then, I had stuck to the amiga. Actually, back then, games like Another World were very frightening, and I actually found Warcraft II a bit unpleasant with all of its blood. I hardened, and today, there are normally no ways to scare me in movies, and especially not in games.

What I'm saying is that it must be totally horrible for a young kid to see games like Doom 3 today, it would... just seem too realistic. Still, this is the only part of game criticism that I would consider to be somewhat correct. The rest, such as CS being responsible for the sniper killings is just totally wrong. You don't become a better shot by moving your mouse around, all you can get would be some reflexes. If you're a psycho, you are a psycho. Games don't make you mentally ill, they can just give you some inspiration, just like any movie or book can. It's just life.

You won't go on a rampage if you see a FPS, we all know that. All I said was that at least I remembered how "frightening" those old games we see as horribly "pixly" today were back then. If Doom 3 was one of my first games, I think I would be really terrified.
