You dont ban long term members. Banning someone for one or two spam posts is not worth the next 50 good posts he might make that month. Unless their spam is as much as their regular posting then I dont see why we should ban unless we have a meeting with them and then they still refuse. You ban too many people and people will complain that "The forum is dead" "No body ever posts". Not that many interesting things happen and we dont exactly have a lot of members to post a lot of interesting threads (yet?). There are two kinds of spam, The kind of spam that just says "F*** you" or 1 word posts those should be deleted, but posts that say "So hows your day? I went to the store and bought some milk... It was pretty fun" might be able to stay in the chat forum. Personally I would visit here a whole lot less if the amount of topics cut down by like 40%, I read spam and if its funny then It helps by making me wanna visit more. Gah, It depends on the spam.
