I recently installed a new hard drive. It is the only hard drive I have in my computer. I am using on-board sound (Leadtek nForce2). My speakers work fine, and they always have.

My microphone worked before I got the new hard drive, but it does not work now. There may be a short in the actual microphone, but I'm not sure. If it is not the microphone, what do I need to do?
