I know they released 1.2 then they told people not to use it anymore and took it off their site. It was full of bugs and crashed a bunch of computers using ATI video cards. They will officially be releasing a fixed 1.2 and call it 1.3 but who know when they will get that shit out.

1.2 patch:

1. Everything supposedly looks better
2. Big speed increases....BIG TIME on Nvidia 6800 Cards.
3. Sort of a hassle to enable 3.0 and delete the yellow text with a hex editor but not too much

Reasons not to use 1.2:

1. Lose some sound/footsteps in some areas.. Obvious sound issues

2. And the big one: no 5.1 surround available.


Graphic/performance wise 1.2 runs without a hitch and really shows off Far Cry engine. Sound wise it SUCKS and is riddled with bugs.
