It doesn't matter how long you hold it in, the THC is absorbed really quick,. like right after the inhale. When you hold it in you're depriving your brain of oxygen so, essentially, holding the smoke in is unhealthy.

Also, I did get high the first time I smoked. Although, that may have been because it was chronic out of my friend's 2-foot bong. Wow, good times.
