Everything is relative - America was at times better than other countries. After the Federal Reserve Act, though, we hit rock bottom and are now chizzling away at the stone with our relience on fossil fuels (which cost signicantly more than they should and ARE priced in eastern countries) and disregard for the rights of people - which never really concerned the government in the first place.
