To make skeletal mages effective, you MUST have enigma, or some form of teleportation. You also need to have a merc with conviction. Making a "lich" mancer is very expensive, compared to a fishymancer. I guess that if you're not going to be using corpse explosion, though, it wouldn't be horrible. The problem with using skeletal mages as a fishymancer is that the cold mages freeze corpses.
