I haven't been in a vehicle for seven weeks, nor have I seen a petrol station for seven weeks, so I'm using a website which tells me the national averages, and local ones based on postcodes.

My local (back home) petrol stations are selling unleaded at prices between 90.9p and 96.9p, and the national average is around 94p (about $5.25). I'm stunned! And a bit miffed - I wanted to see the prices drop below the pound mark.

Quite interesting to look at the conversion rates again. Either the pound has nosedived, or the dollar has strengthened, as £1 is now eqivalent to $1.4762.
