Ok, For a town to catch on fire you have 2 options.
1). Make a sprite of a fire , and just place it everywhere.
or
2). Remake a lot of the sprites on fire. (this is a longer but nicer effect, i used the top one :P)

As for a CBS, i have no idea what that is, so i couldn't mess with that.

The battlecharacters, i didin't even attempt because i'm not used to that battle system.

Night-time affect is easily done in VX... In 2k3 however, its much harder. I couldn't find a decent way to do it. Wait for one of the 2k3 pros to come along n help you out.
thnx man for your help and if you know of anyone plz let me know i would rly like to have sprites for battlechars!!!XD that would be cool
