Cool Your most exciting car / racing moments?

I'd say no posting about losing your virginity in the backseat of a car, but the odds of even a tenth of you losing your virginity at all are astoundingly high so I wont bother. :P

As for me, my friend picks me up at about midnight so we drive around for a while, do a little racing on the highway and decide to pick up a chick we know so we drive down there.
We pick her up and race some more (of course ) and after a while we decide to go to the country-sort-of part of the area around here and he is going 70+ down a one way dirt road on a hill, so inevitably he takes us inches from a cliff. And, as our excellent luck would have it a cop was right around there and saw us so he starts chasing us...
We take him to the suburbs part of the area (because there are a fuckload of streets and side streets around there) after a min of driving around in there he finds us so we go hella fast around this street and park and turn the car off hiding behind this RV / Boat thing in near pitch black so he slows down looking for us but didnt find us so moved on. We take the back exit and go racing a little bit more, stop at some people's houses that we know to wake them up, another friend got his Supra and we toyed around for a while on longways... Then we got kinda tired so went home and that was it.

JiN-Raiden(Cool name by the way Raiden ruled in MK for Sega Genesis) said there should be a topic bout this and I thought it was a good idea so here it is. Post away.

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away... We'll be lost before the dawn...

hmmm, here goes one, not too great tho.

We're the street races at a place called Powerhouse. At first, it was all domestics, about 20 or 30 F-Bodies and Mustangs. After about an hour of racing, another 200-250 cars showed up, making the scene very hot. People were racing towards each other, a few people got hit by cars, one guy hit a pole avoiding another car, all sorts of crazy shit. So then the cops show up(of course) and there was about 30 cop cars, blocking in everybody, and we were all driving over curbs and shit to get away. Pretty exciting, sorta boring story tho, lol. Needless to say, Powerhouse has been shut down since then.

Hmm... my Dad's friend Tony owns a Ferrari 575M that he occasionally takes street-drag racing, and one time I went with him, and we were doing about 180 on a 2 mile flat, we had less than a quarter mile to come to slow down to 45, before we hit highway, and possibly cops and other cars, he ended up damn near locking it up so we wouldn't get busted, we were goin about 50 in a 45MPH zone when we hit where the highway started, just barely made it

I've been to the runs so many times I could probably tell you about stuff I've seen forever.

One night I went to the runs with my friends Justin and Brandon. I drove the week before so it was Justin's turn, he drives a '93 Mustang GT. Anyway on our way to the runs we're at a stop light, and pull up behind a '99 Camaro Super Sport, a '98 Pontiac Trans-Am, and a '98 Camaro Z28. This was too perfect, we're at a stoplight, and three sick domestics (I can't believe I just said 'sick domestics') are all waiting right beside each other. The light turns green, and those bastards don't take off. Instead the Trans-Am gets in the middle, and the two Camaros pull up to either side of him and pace at about 50 in a flying V formation. Needless to say we were pretty pissed, until we hit the highway. Out of nowhere a silver Supra appears and starts fucking with them. The domestics wouldn't move, so my friend takes off in his GT. He brought it all the way to fifth gear and was pushing it hard! The guy in the Supra with what had to be third gear, dropped the clutch, passed us and smoked the GT. Then he slows up, and my friend took off again to be treated to the same fate. The guy in the Supra dropped it and was gone. Now all of a sudden the guy in the Camaro Super Sport decides to have a try. The guy in the Camaro drops his clutch at about 60 mph, all you could hear was Flow Master screaming through the air. The Supra follows suit and drops it. This time, all you could hear from the Supra was a big thump, and the car looked as if it was trying to warp back in time. He caught the Camaro in an instant and was gone. The Super Sport got burned hard. I've never seen a car accelerate like that before. In what seemed like a second, my friend said "Holy shit! Did you see what that guys tags said?!"

"VPR KLR" – I hope you know what that means. You don’t put that on your tag if you can’t really do it.

I swear that's a true story.

We went to In and Out afterwards where a bunch of racers chill before the runs start, and the guys driving the domestics were there. Everyone was crowded around the Camaro Super Sport so we all went and drifted into the crowd. Surprisingly it wasn't a true Super Sport. He had a LS-1 dropped in it.

So now the guy in the Supra pulls up. You could tell this guy was filthy rich; he had on a leather jacket, faded jeans, and a pair of dress shoes. With one of those "Zack from 'Saved by the Bell'" haircuts. The Supra was cleaner than you can imagine. The silver looked so sleek. The guy in the Camaro asked, "Yo, what you got in there?" The guy in the Supra said "Oh nothing, just a 6 cylinder 3.0 liter" walking his way over to the hood. Then he lifts it up and everyone gives out a big gasp when he adds, "Oh yeah I forgot, I also have three turbochargers."

Needless to say, this was the best night I ever had at the runs.

I HAD a supercharged VW GTI VR6 that I took to D.C. and ran a few times. I can send you the link if you want to check out the car...anyhow, me and a friend with a new Formula meet up with some guys in a Marshall's parking lot, a few DSM's hanging out. Well I justpull up there and chill for a bit, and obviously one of the guys heard my supercharger when I pulled in. So he comes up to my car and says "boy in the Eclipse wants to run your car and the Formula, thats a supercharger right?". So I go over and talk to him, and he tells me to follow him onto I-97. So I follow him and like 10 other cars follow behind us. We get on I-97 and slow up to about 30 MPH to race on a rolling start. Well theres cars all behind us backed up, then we hit it. We are about even with the Formula about 2 cars behind and I can hear the Eclipses BOV sounding off, then he just starts pulling on me hard all of a sudden. He is about 4 car lengths ahead of me, and I am about 3 cars in front of the Formula. Well allll these cars are still behind us then I start to see then drift back some, and the Firebird drifted back some, and I'm thinking "oh shit, theres a cop". Well there wasn't a cop, but I look down and I am hitting 155 MPH, on the f'n interstate. So we slow up and stop a McDonalds. Everyone gets out and they are hype as shit jsut becuase of the fact we were going so fast. The guys Eclipse oil cap flew off so its sitting there smoking hard. He pops his hood and smoke goes everywhere, and everyone is all hype, but its just a oil cap. Well everyone crowds around my GTI, and I got the hint that they wanted to see under my hood becuase like 20 people are just sitting there staring at me. Well I keep my car looking flawless and just pretty as hell under the hood, hell, I'm just going to link it to you after my story...so I pop my hood and all I hear is "holy shits" and "ohhhs" and "ahhhs" because its just GLEAMING under there. Yes, of course I was proud, all my hard work is being appreciated. one of the guys behind us got it all on film and it was absolutely amazing. We get to Metro where all the racing goes on but it was just wayyyy too packed. I had a $100 race with a guy in a 1.8T GTI that I would have won, but the cops came before we even got to leave the gas station. Fun night anyhow. I have sooooo many more stories if you want them, but this is my personal fav.

Almost forgot the link...

Well... being 15 im having more and more of these moments (all my friends are starting to get their licence). The most fun I had in a car was when I was at my friends house at like 3:30 at nite with some other bums and we decided to go out in his old, 90' Chevy Beater Lumina and see how fast we can go.... so we get out driving around and we decide to floor it... and did we floor in. In the middle of a two lane highway/street thingy at 400 in the morning, we went 110... and was that fun!
