So what, he unsummoned his minion while it had a walking timebomb spell on it so he could summon it and kill a bunch of co-faction members?

Should be plain old divx. Any self respecting computer user should already have the codec loaded.

Why would you be afraid of spyware?

U R Teh 1337 PWnzHaXX0rZ!11ONE

If sov can install, configure, and run multiple D2bots (Pretty sure he can). He can surely install a divx codec and then proceed to remove any additional spyware he inadvertently loaded.

On another note:
You should really watch the video. Its some funny shit.

Here it is:

The spell effect came from the Molten Core mob 'Baron Geddon'. It's similar to an AoE 'Curse of Doom'. They managed to get their Felhunter hit with it, then Dismissed it.

Blizzard wanted Warlocks' Pets to keep any debuffs when dismissed, to prevent any unsummoning/resummoning to clear debuffs.

All he/she had to do is resummon it, and watch the timer go down.

Obviously, it should take time into account. Perhaps if enough people do this, Blizzard will do something about it, but not likely .

"It's working like we wanted it to" will probably be their response.

Or something to that effect.

Actually, they responded on it and they're 'Looking into it'.

Nice to see a 'Working as Intended' shoved back in their face.

WW: Not sure what you meant by the Time comment, but here's my feeling on getting rid of it:

That's extremely difficult to pull off, as the target for that curse is Randomly determined. The Warlock would also have to actively watch for that effect, and dismiss the pet when the timer is nearly down on it.

That was masterfully executed, and it's unlikely you'd see anything like that more than a few times a week, at the most. I say it's mostly a non-issue, at the moment.

It would hurt if done in Orgrimmar, as we have to run from Razor Hill. Alliance has it a little easier, as Kharanos is slightly closer to IF than Razor Hill is to Org.

Quite simply, if they wanted to prevent unsummoning then resummoning to get rid of effects, they should have had the effects continue their countdown while the pet is unsummoned, so in this case if the effect had a 10 sec countdown to a massive AoE and the pet was unsummoned, if it was resummoned any more than 10 secs later, the effect would be gone, but if it was summoned a second later it would still be there with one second less on it.

Yeah, I read that. The moron copy-cats wouldn't be doing that, however.

WW: The easiest solution would be to Purge any debuffs upon leaving the Instance, in my opinion.
