Who plays some 1.6?

Anyone actually play 1.6 yet? I have for a few days now and its not too bad. The Galil is an amazing gun, for 2000 dollars, its way to powerful and accurate. My first game of cs_italy, which was my first map for 1.6, i got 9 headshots in a row. It also has a weird sound so I hope that they fix it in the next version.

Famas for cts, I only used it a few times and killed people with galils to get them I guess its an ok gun, kind of ugly looking but it'll stick.

de_airstrip is a weird map, dull sort of, its really uneven for the terrorists because they are forced to go to ONE bombsite all the time because the other bombsite is the ct spawn, not next to it. It's the ct spawn.

de_inferno got a texture change which looks awesome but its kind of dark which I don't like a lot. Another thing which sucks about inferno no, the boxes to get up into the house from the ct side, you have to boost someone up there, there isnt an initial box to get up there which is disappointing :/

de_aztec also got a texture change I played the leaked beta a while ago, and found some exploits in there, didnt test it out in the beta. It's looking ok but its darker in the water and terrortists can get onto that ledge the outlines the t side of the map which is kinda of weird. They can move throughout the whole t side of the map with an awp on the ledge and take out anyone they want in the water or the land :/

piranesi also got some new shrubs in it

Oh yea, forgot the riot shield. It's pretty cool actually. I see people running around with the galil, which is now the strongest automatic rifle in cs and shoot at the shield and have trouble killing people. You can shoot thru the hole but its hard when your on the move and stuff. CT's can use a pistol also while using the shield which is pretty cool and reasonable. I thought cs would be ruined by that item but its pretty even, I thinkk thats why the galil is so cheap, to battle the riot shield. Knives can also go thru the riot shield so :/ Not a great one is it heh

Im still playin it though and its hard to get on servers but its worth it

1.6 is out?...didn't they release it and then call it back?..also..do u have to login through the console to play?..i love the fact that smoke grenades actually explode now!!

One bombsite in de_dust is the CT spawn. Btw, I'm dl'ing steam right now.

so this isnt the real patch? if i install this i cant go back 2 1.05 games?

I've tried steam out, I think they've temporary disabled new people (or set a limit to) connecting to the 1.6 server. So, I tried playing TFC with steam and it lagged like crazy (not connection, but my 850mhx computer).

You dont actually install it on your sierra cs directory, steam downloads the data on its own directory and then reading it from there.

You can still play on 1.05 servers.

Like 80% of de maps have one of the sites in the ct base..

I have played it, and since it is beta I can already say it was going to run like crap. As I played I really didnt like it to much, I hope they dont change it to much.

Those shields that the CT have are fucking lame

I played 1.6 the second it went public beta on Steam... I played it a ton because I was somehow better at it than at 1.5... give me a shield and a deagle and I'll bring you the heads of the entire terrorist team.

I just started playing CS on 1.6 and I'm insanely addicted.
