Well the first "big patch" of the game was released and has destroyed any interest i had left in this game. They nerfed the living hell out of creature handlers so my character now officialy sux and has nothing to defend him but a pair of dewbacks. I think im going to cancel my subscription. maybe ill start it up again in a couple months and see if its any better. Oh wait by then ill be playin WoW.

Twenty-eight days... six hours... forty-two minutes... twelve seconds. That, is when the world will end.

I think this player review i read of it about sums it up exactly.

First off i would like to say the the immersive feeling of being in the Star Wars universe had me going for a good 2 weeks, but now that i've gotten more in depth i see little in terms of long term gameplay. Sure they will add content in the months that follow and improve the overall stability, but how many missions can you do before it gets repetitive. Sure you can take on several different professions to keep things interesting but all the professions have the same kind of repetitive feeling once you get past the first branch of the skill system. Speaking of skill system, how many people actually have time to master your profession before you get bored. At the moment it looks like you have to get 400,000 xp just to get that master title for what? To kill more gnorts, bats, stormtroopers, imperial/rebel guards? Star Wars is about the galaxy (thus the title galaxies), yet there is no space, there is no death star, there are no tie fighters. All we get to see are glimpes of them flying overhead to keep things amusing for us. It will be several months, im emphasizing months, before we actually get to use ground vehicles. I guess we have to wait several years before we get to fly, by that time we will have paid enough of the monthly subscription to purchase 10 new games. Whats Star Wars without space, without jedi's, and without the force? This game. Yes you can open up a force slot and become a jedi, but we don't know how many hours you have to spend to become one, let alone how to open up a slot in the first place. If i had no life, or had no friends i could see myself becoming master, but for the average gamer this is too much of a daunting task that requires hours of repetitive gameplay.

and thus the story of every mmorpg.

When you really look at it nearly every game is generic.
There's only the Marios, the dooms, and the zeldas the rest is a hybrid of that with a few extra sparks and wut not. Not to mention the overally bland sports and racing games...

But yea star wars is the type of game u make it, saying that doesn't mean I'm defending it put I can tell those ppl running around trying to conquer the opposing faction pretending there in the game is having fun. Yet I still think there rather fruity, and I prolly won't play after the free time is up but it's hella fun right now for me.

I'm still going to play it for a while, because I don't want to give up my Master Gunfighter/Expert Bounty Hunter..

But when WoW comes out, I'll probably play that.

I love the game, CH are put into their place. I honestly think they went to far with the nerf, but its better now than the way it was... Novice CHs nothing else with gurrects(spellcheck). I mean, *bullshit*. Thats my opinion. I plan to be a commando now, and not bounty hunter.

No offense, but commandos are pretty much useless... they don't even do as much damage as the other guns.

And this patch was REALLY gay... 75% of the people on the forums are saying they're going to quit. Not to mention the emptyness of Coronet and Bestine, which were two of the busiest cities in Chilastra before the patch. Now they are pretty much empty... Anchorhead is more crowded than they are.

I'm really just complaining about all the bugs this patch has... I already got to the top of my proffesion so it doesn't really matter.

THIS GAME IS BORING.

Really I can't even force myself to turn it on anymore.

Thank god I didn't pay for it, at all. Heh.

Cammandos are pretty good in PvP tho, I seen some do great in a Declared Faction battle
