can alcohol expire??

I recently obtained a lot of alcohol and i was wondering if it can expire. this shit is really old form the looks of it and a lot of it is open. i know it cant expire if its closed and sealed but this shit is open. does ne1 know???? theres hard shit and wine but i just need to know if the hard shit can get old. and im talking 20 years. just how long its been open i have no idea.

umm if its been opened yes it can go bad... and over a certain period of time even if its closed it can start tasting like shit

Yes if it is opened it can go bad, if closed it can last indefinitly.

Beer will go bad, open or not.

What brands are they? If they are really sweet liquors they will generally expire quicker.

A dead giveaway would be something floating in it.

Yeah, absolutely beer can go bad. Wine and some liquors get better tasting with age, but the one's that do, aren't usually sold until the appropriate time has elapsed.

Also, some other things that can cause beer to get skunked quicker is the varying of temperature. If it is cold, then you let it get lukewarm before chilling it again to drink, there is a good possibility it got skunked, and you will certainly get a bitter beer face.

ok its liquor this some southern comfort some whiskey and some other shit. i dont give a fuck about the taste. just the alc. theres nothin floating in it. it tastes fine, it smells fine it looks fine.

Really hard stuff that's 80 proof or more should be fine indefinitley.

Wines do get better with age, but they can turn as well, it depends on how they are kept mostly.

Baja Rosa expires. *blegh* As well as any other alcohol which has cream and such in it, like Baileys for example.

if it is wine it should last..
if it is open, close it and either put it upside-down or slant it so that the liquid would cover the opening; so that the air would not leak. air is much finer than liquids. as long as it is air tight, the liquor should last another 10 years or so
