Sorc build?

Anyone got a good 1.10 sorc build?

Max fireball, firemastery, meteor, and put a few into hydra. In general fire sorces own every other sorce build in 1.10....

Orb is still the best pvp skill sorc wise.

FB = Small, hard to hit people with, especially a faster moving / teleporting char.

Orb = HUGE radius, decent dmg, slow..

Blizzard sorcs are alright too. Lay down a few and no matter who it is, they gonna get hit. Plus, I think blizzard can get upwards of 6k dmg with cold mastery....

Once you get used to it. Fireball get much easier to aim.

I would say make a Blizzard sorc with 1 in orb. That way you can cast orb to slow then blizzard to kill.

Maybe, but if they are any good at pvp, they have cannot be frozen.

FB is just too slow, and too small a radius, i had a lvl 33 MLD fireball sorc, with the perfect gear, just about heh

With fireball you dont need to directly hit it does damage when it pass close to target. The casting speed make it possible to cast lot of them and cover a big of area.Fireball can go much further then Frozen Orb so it will make the enemy retreat more and you can start chasing with teleport and casting more Fireball.


There is a zon i used to duel with. He couldnt kill me and i would always get him on the run with fireball. With a good casting rate you can catch up with your fireball and cast more limiting even more of the enemy possible area to run to. He will eventualy get cornered.

The only real trouble would be against other sorc. But still i always won against Frozen Orb cause it doesnt do much damage after pvp penality. I aint getting hit often either they cant just stand back and Frozen Orb cause fireball can go further and that would make me win. The only way they can kill me is teleporting to me and casting. So what i do is teleport behind them and cast fireball. I do not always hit them but i hardly ever get hit. So i end up winning.

.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. . if only i was as active as apoq, anyway i believe fball is the next generation sorc, orb is slow but QUITE effect in its on way so is blizzard, when properly built any sorc can pwn just about any class wit exceptions in difficulty to another sub class, thus i lay upon you all my wisdom....

insolence: ever see a good fball sorc with a 8k fball? and tele up to you and start blasting you away? i think not

Vollstrecker: blizzard is most effecttive in Sorc vs sorc and vs all others its fair not as good as orb when you face the possiblity of blizz not hitting, sometimes its instantaneous

I'd LOVE to see a FB sorc try to beat a decent amazon with 75 cold res and some obsorb.. even then it will barely get hit..

I had a fireball sorc in .09 also. I had the meteor/hydra/fireball build back before 1st bot banning on April 1st. She owned for a while, cuz people were expecting orb. After a while, she did get the smackdown cuz zons got the idea of running from me erratically...

With a fireball you dont go in close range...

k.. don't have any zon buddies.

Believe me, any good zon can dodge a FB.. orb is good, because it requires little aim, and freezes for a long period of time (if no 'cannot be frozen')

FB packs a punch dmg wise, but the small radius makes up for it.

I did get killed once by a zon but all the other time i would kill the zon without problem and i could use better gear. Fireball dont need to do a direct hit to deal damage.

But it needs to get close...

Normal mostly, in nightmare or hell it's very easy heh.

I've dueled with a fireball sorc, I don't care how good you are, you cannot face up against guided arrow (which is guided...) orb, or just about any other skill, only works somewhat, against meele.

an experienced fball/hydra sorc will make good of any zon, fball/hydras sorcs are supposed to be defensive, it is obvisious you have never faced a experienced dueler so what guided is guided??? doesnt stop a fball from moving or a hydra from popping up never assume anything or it just might bite off your head

Hydras are different, pop them up infront of them, and to their left/right to herd them where you want them, but even then, hydras arent very good against amazons, more like against barbs so it makes it hard to ww.

this just shows you havent really dueled a pro, the effectiveness of hydra has only 1 point, make them run cuz hydras stun and hurt thus leaving you the oppertunity to kill them/him and you miss the point of hydra completely, thus if they decide to be stupid and get hit then kudos to your noob kill

They barely hurt, I've never dueled a 'pro' because there are no 'pros' at D2, just VERY good gamers.

I have yet to duel a very good hydra sorc, but i have dueled orb sorcs, which were VERY effective, and I could not see, a hydra sorc being as effective.

VS a good ama, you have to hit and run, come back, and do it again, dodging 1 hydra isnt hard, dodging 1 orb, is harder, especially when they tp on your screen and spam them coming from different angels.
