Sub-Zero or Raiden?

Posted 2004-05-31, 11:24 PM
I'm not having two characters from the same game when the choices are as limited as they are. In the previous tournament, there were 32 entrants, and so multiple characters from the same game was do-able. However, when you've got no more than 8 slots, that's redundant. So, pick between these two. You're not getting both.

Honestly, I think Raiden has cooler abilities, although Sub-Zero is almost as cool. Raiden, since electricity based skills are bangin'!

This poll will be closed by tomorrow night, as will the other "Yoshi, Knucles or Luigi" poll. All votes must be in by this time tomorrow night so that the Hero Bracket can be arranged by the judges and the first half of the tournament can begin.

I'm still confused. Which Sub-Zero is this? I know both of them and I think they're both kickass, but I'm just curious.

I voted for Sub-Zero. Raiden is okay, but they both have unique powers, so I just go on looks.

It doesn't matter. I understand that the Sub-Zero from MK1 and MK2 are two different guys, but it doesn't matter to me. They have identical abilities. But, for the sake of answering your question, MK2 Sub-Zero. From MK2 on it's the same guy in every game. The only different character was the guy in the first game.

Sweet, he was the cool one. Although, the one in MK1 was far more powerful.

It's a Raiden vs. Pikachu match, and Raiden is massacring him with about 2/3's the vote.

The commentary is what is important.

Quote:
Fargo: Test your might.

shaithis: Pikachu returns for another GameSpy Grudge after being trounced by Rainbow Six several months ago.

Fargo: Trounced? Dude the score was 45% to 55%. It was a close bout.

shaithis: That only serves to prove my theory that people click randomly on the contenders in order to see if you posted a funny picture in the results.

Fargo: No way.

shaithis: Furthermore, Raiden will win because he is the God of thunder. He parts the very sky with his touch and pours forth the fury of the elder Gods from the wrathful heavens. It's not a pretty sight.

Fargo: Pikachu has the thundershock attack. And at level 9 he gets the Thunder Wave attack. Live in Ph34r, Thunder Boy!

shaithis: But Pikachu isn't a God.

Fargo: *silence*

shaithis: He's just a video game character. And a cartoon.

Fargo: *continued silence*

shaithis: Oh stop with the weeping.
