I live for severe thunder storms. I find them to be incredibly calming, especially when I'm about to fall asleep.

I concur. The only downside with thunderstorms is that they hurt technology randomly upon strikes of lightning, but otherwise, they're really bar none. Can anyone name a useful UPS? And furthermore, try getting a dual light setup, one slightly red-tinted light and a regular lightbulb or so, and you can make it shine like it's daytime in the middle of the night.
