Well, just to keep everyone in the know, dating Rachel didn't work out. She hit me with the friend stick. No biggie, though. I'm learning that's just how things work out sometimes.

I did, however, go out with this other girl, Olivia, last night. Good times. Good times. She's a biochem major/cs minor, is in the Marine Corps reserves, is 5'10" and could theoretically kick my ass. 0_0 She's funny, though. And smart. And pretty.

The follow-up is Friday. Wish me luck.

Too bad about Rachel. Good luck with Olivia, though.

Sounds to me like getting out of a long-term relationship and getting out and meeting people is doing you good. 'Grats.

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away... We'll be lost before the dawn...

Amen to that. I was with this girl for what I consider a long time (1 year 2 months), almost 1/2 of my HS career. Since we broke up I've been on dates with/been in a relationship with 7 girls.

Catch her by surprise by tripping her, then when she hits the ground be sure to break her arm and start kicking her in the ribs. Kick her ass before she can kick yours. Then you can get one in for the record.

Well, the follow-up went better than I had expected, but not as well as I had hoped.

Originally, it was supposed to be just me and her on Thursday, but she had soccer practice. She said she was sorry that she had to bail but that I should come out with her and her friends on their usual outing thing on Friday. I was a little bummed because, well, it's not a date if friends are present.

Anyhow, there were only a couple of her friends there. They were both cool, and I think they like me which is a really good thing. Anyhow, I had a good time, friends or no.

I haven't asked about the follow-up-up yet. I just didn't think it would be smooth, so I'm gonna wait a couple of days. These things baffle me, but I'm playing by the rules.
