Displeasure - Chapter 1.

Synopsis: This is like the "They're after me" DFD fanfiction, but with Grav as the main character, and he's a detective who's one true love was murdered by a man his own gang calls "King Crabazon".

Chapter 1:

Awakening at night...it's raining. The lustful howl of the wind reminds me of how much I miss her. Her smooth voice, her graceful stance...slipped away from me that one tragic night like a drop of rain slipping away from the sky. I reached across with my feet, fumbled, and finally found my slippers. I looked to the right and stared at the pillow. Underneath it is where I kept the last note from her. Her last wish wasn't a meal nor matter, it was the desire to tell me one last time that she loved me. I swore to myself that I'd get my revenge on King Crabazon no matter who or what stood in my way. Next to the pillow on the nightstand is where I kept my revolver...always reminding me that this love carries unfinished business.

It was 2 years ago this same day. She was dining with the top executive of her company at the city's finest restaurant. Matters where discussed, and deals where closed. It started as any normal evening, but there was an ominous feeling about it she left that night. I felt this but I was too stupid to stop her, and the guilt from that haunts me like a ghost to this day.

Little did she know her own boss had a side business. A bad business. He had closed some deals that didn't exactly sit well with King Crabazon, the main mobster in town. He hired some of his goons that night to stick up the place and kidnap her boss. They thought that such a fine lady must be the rich boss's wife, and so they mistakedly took her too. She tried to tell them that she only worked for him, but they never believed her. She was tortured for hours, begging them to stop. Her fat pig boss even told them she was his wife so that he'd be spared. Both of them died that night, and so did my heart. Jinxy was one true love, and those bastards took her away from me, needlessly.

2 years later, here's where I am. The anger slowly building up inside me as I see King Crabazon roam the city unpunished. He might get away with other crimes but not this one. For this one, he was gonna pay.
