I was thinking about buying a gamecube this friday but I haven't been able to convince myself why, think any of you can help me out and please no because it rules and ps2 and xbox sux kind of crap (I had one before but due to the nature of the now retired Tae Inc. and the only game being wave race I got rid of it)

Eternal Darkness, Smash Bros. Melee, the entire Resident Evil series (including RE Zero and RE4), Metroid Prime, Super Mario Sunshine, Star Fox: Dinosaur Planet, Haven: Call of the King, Legend of Zelda, and an ass load of other games coming in the near future. It's a more powerful system than PS2, it's made by a far more experienced company than Microsoft, and it's CHEAP.

I've thought that the PS2 was cheaper then the Gamecube.

That's because the majority of the "Nintendo developed" library hasn't been released yet. I said Nintendo is a more experienced company because they have been making games for over twenty years. Microsoft hasn't.

Smash bro's ok but I'm tired of the rerun's of resident evil galore

Metroid Prime looks awesome, I hate the mario kiddy game thing,
umm it's star fox :\, Dinosaur planet never heard of it, Haven will be sold for every system, Zelda now were talkin
I really do like but Xbox is releasing Some great games too, Ps2 is releasing 3x the amount of great games and sorry for being like this but I am just agreeing with my doubts of the system (have you ever played wave race?)

Specs who cares about specs I could go buy a fully loaded comp system if I loved specs I like consoles for the games!

They may be experinced but they did create there greatest competitor (sony) which seems like a very big mistake right now and I wonder if they will ever do this again

and the Price is nothing for the foreman of TAE inc but I am laying low for a while and the only reason I want to buy another system is because I am getting prepaid for work and will have sum extra cash

One of the best arguments out there but could you emphasize a bit more and say why?

So you have had a good argument and I think you might have convinced me, say you did wut is a short list of games and peripherals you recommend purchasing?

Eternal Darkness is probably the best game I've played in YEARS. It took me over 40 hours to complete it, and I still play it occasionally. The new RE is fucking incredible, I never played the original, so playing through the remake as my first time was just awesome. As for Star Fox, I'll find the link on Nintendo.com for the E3 footage. It's not a flight sim, like the past two, although it does have a few dogfight missions in it. It's mainly 3D action-adventure, and it looks AMAZING. Aside from the games I listed, Square is releasing Final Fantasy Unlimited (and who knows what else) on the GameCube, and Rare has a MASSIVE line of games coming in the near future.

i also suggest gamecube, although xbox is getting some super pimp games, such as Metal Gear Solid 2, and another awesome FPS called Splinter Cell (which comes out on the cube as far as i know.)

also that preview for starfox would mean you have to get gamecube, cuz that game = looks the best. it also has a very kewl slogan
'go extreme, or go extinct!'

--EDIT--
and also, as for the resident evil series, there is going to be a new one, and the graphics are boosted A LOT, and the games are changed (i hear 60% for the first one out, and i believe it seeing i have it.)
So this baby seal walks into a club.
