I liked the original Sim City, but the ones after that were mediocre. The Sims games are decent enough I guess, but the whole franchise just bugs the fuck out of me. They release a new "Expansion" like every month, and you have to spend so much money just to keep up. They're just milking it for everything they can.

Sim City 2000 and the first Sims for platforms. Klo is one of the ones being "milked" though. We'll probably get Sims Castaways for Wii

PM-ing is weaksauce.

I used to.

When I was younger I had all the original Sims games, and Sim City 3000. I also had The Sims 2, but never really got into it.

The fascination for me was more the building of things and the decorating (in The Sims), and designing a city in Sim City. Actually playing the games didn't really do much for me.

I like The Sims. I enjoy walling in people who are assholes to my Sims and killing them.

There's a new Sim City out - Simcity Societies.

There's less of a concentration on the mayoral aspects of building a city and maintaining it, instead it's more about balancing the citizen's happiness and productivity. As a result it should appeal more to older children than adults.

Well, like K_A I used to like the OG Sims game, but the rest have been so-so, not as breakthrough as the original. Now, I do really enjoy the Roller Coaster Tycoon games. Not technically being the same sort of platform, they are mega-fun and I just recently picked up 3 (platinum I believe) and it comes with Zoo Tycoon. Very fun and addictive, I could play for hours on end...

I loved the old sims... Sim Farm, Sim city.. etc.

In our government class in highschool we got to play Sim City 2000... why I'm not entirely sure but one of my good friends and I just put in a bunch of cheats and got an A+

Go us.
