Post WinXP Compared to Win2k

I'm thinking about upgrading from Win2k professional to WinXP, but it'd cost me a good 100 bucks so I'd like to know, how much more (or less) stable is WinXP than 2000 and how much better is it for playing games and running multiple applications?

How about downloading it ? Anyway WinXP is a very stable system. But u need lot of ram because it eats so much.

I love XP... but 128mb of ram is way too little, so I dont use it. Best Windows I've used so far, but still easily crashable if u dont keep maintenence...I wish Windows would write an OS like Mac's System 7 or System 8

I have Windows XP on 2 comps and Windows2k pro on my main comp and I have to say I like wink2 alot better.... its crashed on my about 2 times in the last month and XP crashes alot more. And my win2k comp, I leave on for days and days at a time and its my personal preference for an OS.

xp is built off 2k, just with un-needed eyecandy. i mean, you could use windowblinds and object bar to make it look/act/feel like xp, and keep it 100 times mor stabel than xp home/pro. 2k is my preference.

I used to have Windows 98SE with blinds, and it DOES suck, if u're just looking for something purdy, then just use XP.
