Good Internet Browser

For the most part, I work on my desktop, which is a Linux machine, but on my laptop I use Windows, and I plan on sticking with Windows on my laptop for games and shit. Now, I'm going to format my laptop today because of the unbelievable amount of adware and spyware I have. Now, I know with a Windows machine, you inevitably have to format every once in a while, but what browser would you all suggest I use that would keep spyware and adware out as much as possible.

FireFox, from www.mozilla.org. Get Firefox if you only want a browser, Mozilla if you like the other stuff that comes with it.

The only other good alternative that I can think of is Opera.
