Are We Failing our Geniuses?

Bit of a synopsis of the first page or two: Special needs children receive 10x the funding of gifted and talented children. Is this causing our smartest kids not to measure up to certain other countries? (Japan, Korea, etc.)


I think the same can be said for college. No offense, but I don't think race should be a considering factor in admissions or scholarships. That should be illegal. I think income, academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and other legitimate reasons should be looked at.

And sorry to the less fortunate, but I think more of the scholarship money should be earmarked for the more intelligent kids than just those that are poor. Fucking middle class gets shafted by the government in every other sense though, so why not education too?
