College Classes

I really like how open and unlimited teachers are in college classes. Half the time my teachers swear to get us to pay attention, or just start talking about drugs. In one class we get to do skits as definitions, and she doesn't give a shit at all about what we do. I ended up flipping a big table over, it smashed against 4 desks, and then proceeded to literally beat the ink out of two of my favorite pens. Big mess, lots of laughter and applause, and it really did show how North Korea would fuck up the world if they would declare Nuclear Holocaust. Mostly just wanted to post about that instance, but there is so much freedom it's not even funny. The only areas I can't touch are in my speech class, being abortion and religion issues.

I have one professor who is pretty nuts. He will sometimes go around and ask to see if you did the homework assignment, and if not he just yells at the top of his lungs "ASSHOLE!!!" and goes to the next person.

When someone in the class had mono, he asked "eat some bad pussy?" If you know how timid this kid is it's even funnier.

Wow. Well, I don't have any professors nearly as crazy as that.

You're probably at a better university.

My speech professor called me a dumb hippie bum the other day. I just did a loud 'high' laugh in his face and left.

Dude, I want a professor like that. Mine are just boring. One is a slightly insane woman who is kinda funny sometimes but is pretty much just educated white trash(she's still cool, don't get me wrong.) The other is an old man, he's an environmentalist to the extreme, he's incredibly opinionated and feels the need to force his opinions on us every chance he gets. One day he was out of class, so he left a Ralph Nader movie for us to watch for like 2 hours. Mind you, this is a PHILOSOPHY class.

I just wrote a 600-word essay, giving advice to incoming freshman. Took me 20 minutes, and now I'm revising it and about to turn it in to my teacher.

My history teacher could put anyone to sleep with her monotone lectures.

Now I'm the year before University (in what we call College, funnily enough), and every teacher I have is great. Seven in total, for four subjects:

History - Two
Computing - Two
Maths - Two
General Studies - One

My Computing teachers and one of my History teachers (whom I've had for four years now) are the best of the bunch - we spent an hour in Computing today telling one of them that her internet service was awful. There's only eleven of us, and we all chipped in with advice for a new ISP and what not. This stemmed from talking about WAN's and VAN's about five minutes into the lesson.

The other teacher manages to teach us, but in such a way that it's more of a conversation than a strict teaching environment. Same goes for the History teacher.

The second History teacher buys biscuits for every lesson and loves sending us off in group activites.

The Maths teachers are of the same breed - halfway through an example they'll launch into something completely unrelated, and when we're doing 'work' they'll join in our conversations.

And the General Studies teacher, well, she doesn't give a damn. We have GS last on a Friday, and so far we've spent every lesson just generally being daft. Much fun. And when I'm not being taught I go a play Pool in the Common Room!

I have this teacher this semester that goes, since your seniors i expect you to be here half of the year. The other times we'll count it as excused absences. I love him

Uh...

Every professor I've had so far has been fairly serious about the courses. Although my Japanese professor is unintentionally hilarious because if she's not paying attention, she DOES substitute R's for L's. Best words ever are like 'totally' or 'arbitrarily', I smile every time.
