Chrono Trigger problem

I'm stuck, big time. I'm using a party of Ayla and Marle, and I'm in the End of Time right now, plus that the Black Omen has appeared. However, I can't seem to change my party. All of the remaining characters stockpiled in End of Time are rambling about various quests (such as Lucca telling me about the sun stone), but apparently none of them wants to join my party.

Is there another way for me to change my party?

Why not do some quests?

I think you are supposed to do the quests... when I played through I never changed my party after that point, so I never saw this.

ARE YOU USING A ROM? If so, that's your problem right there.

If you're playing the actual SNES cartridge, or if you're playing the PS1 version, I have one other suggestion. If you want a secondary means of switching your charaters, walk around on the world map and push the "Y" button (SNES version) or the "square" button (PS1 version). It will bring up a character switch screen.

Or you can just hax it up and MAKE your characters change.

Yeah, I realized I could just hit the Y button a while after I posted this thread, but what I just had to do to fix everything was to beat one of the side quests, and Magus would ask me to join again, allowing me to change my party.

Magus is a pretty good person to have in your party. I like Chrono Magus and Frog myself.

Hey, does anyone know how to get frog to change back into Glenn? I thought you could change him back by defeating Magus. I tried that, but it doesn't work. How do I do it, if at all?

That's how you do it, the 2nd time you get the chance to fight magus you defeat him, when he gives you the option to fight him or let him join you. I think you have to go kill lavos right after it to see the ending though. I've never actually done it myself.

But can you play with Glenn? That's what I was wondering. I've heard from a friend of mine that you can play with Glenn, and he's a buttload better.

You cant transform Frog into Glenn.

Dang. I was hoping you could. That would be freakin' awesome. I'll be sure to beat up my friend for telling me that.
