he didnt say that it already had any sockets so i just assumed that it was non socketed in which case he could socket it.

i found an ethCB.. i sold on lad for gaze, arreats & Mara's ammy..

i didnt care if it was worth more. coz i had no use for it.

goddamn you!...i found 2x eth zerk axe..each of them had frigging 3 open sockets..so worthless..but i did find 1x eth zerk axe clean and sold it for 2x soj

i heard my ax is more than 10 hrs worth,if i can get zod rune and vex rune and socked botd in my axe and i have a perfekt botd(400%ed)(with 15%ed from my axe=415%ed) than its more than 30 hrs worth,so i can say,i am rich

Don't socket it yourself.

If you get a low% ED, then it's no good.
And people often pick up already socketed items saying the runes are dirty...

I'd trade it when it's clean.

Yep. Just because I know you're gonna ask "how?", here it is:

1) Player 1 enters the game and gets ready to craft. 2) His friend enters the same game and doesn't touch anything. He can't click the mouse or touch the keyboard what-so-ever (maybe you don't have to go to those measures, but I do, just in case). 3) Player 1 does his thing, craft, socket, etc. If he crafts all his rings and gets garbage, he simply clicks on his friend (which hasn't moved or done anything since he entered the game, I can not stress that enough!). 4) His friend will get the trade options, "Yes" and "Cancel" to go in a trade. 5) When he gets this option, he presses Alt + F4, causing D2 to exit totally. 6) As long as nothing was done by your friend, the whole game will cease to exist, and you will both be rolled back.
